To find an all black, female women health center was the best part for me. At first I thought it was just a black nurse practitioner that I’d be seeing working for someone else. This office was full of melanin from the receptionist to the nurses. A lot of healthcare providers don’t take black women and the issues we express seriously so it’s so pleasant having someone that actually listened to me and was concerned about my health and looked like me. By the end of the appointment, I found my new primary care physician!!! ??????
