More about Dr. Andrew Aker, OD
Dr. Aker grew up in the Southwest culture of Tucson, AZ. After graduating from the University of Arizona, he attended Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon, where he received his Doctorate of Optometry in 2007. He has spent the past several years practicing in the Portland area and is a member of the Oregon Optometric Physicians Association. Coming from the dry desert, it was very easy for him to fall in love with the Northwest. When he's not checking your eyes, he loves to take his wife, Lynn, and two kids, Scarlet and Angel, camping and enjoying all that the Pacific Northwest has to offer. Snowboarding, basketball, art, and music production take up the rest of his time.

Dr. Aker was great! He was very friendly and knowledgable. The office was nice and clean, and the machines were all in great shape. I didn't look at the glasses, but they seemed to have a good selection. I highly recommend Dr. Aker and will definitely be back!

The wait time was long, they gave me a Starbucks card as a token for the wait. The visit was great, professional and felt like my exam was thorough and communication was great. They worked with me to get exactly what I wanted in my new glasses, great staff.

He was very personable and explained all the parts of the process along the way. I would definitely recommend him to friends and family. He even called my insurance company (which is never fun) and was honest on the cost for different lenses or coatings. Great optometrist!

The visit was great, Dr. Aker answered all of my questions and concerns. I went in for a new contact prescription and the whole appointment was quick, but thorough. I highly recommend him. Also, there are significant discounts for students!

Quick and professional, and happy to go into some depth about the technicalities of my particular correction upon request (as well as do some followup getting in touch with another clinic). Didn't love the frame choices, but I don't know how typical their selection/pricing are.
