The front office staff, and dr assistance are all wonderful. Very polite, and productive. I have never felt as if I've waited to long or was not heard or taken care of. Highly recommended!!

Dr. Andrew Henderson is excited to return to Colorado and be able to contribute to providing the highest quality eye care with Vision Institute in Colorado Springs.
Growing up around optometry, Dr. Henderson spent time working in an optometric practice in his teenage years and always had an interest in eye care. He moved to Colorado to complete a Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Denver. During his undergraduate studies, he developed a passion for many outdoor activities and the state of Colorado. Dr. Henderson then received his Doctor of Optometry degree at Indiana University School of Optometry.
During his optometric studies, Dr. Henderson was recognized multiple times for his academic achievement and proficiency in ocular disease. He received training in all areas of optometric care, completing clinical rotations with two Veterans Administration Medical centers, a private Ophthalmology/Optometry Referral center as well as the School of Optometry’ Eye Care center. After receiving his degree, Dr. Henderson completed a residency with BVA Advanced Eye Care and Joy Vision focusing on Ocular Disease and Refractive and Ocular Surgery.
Dr. Henderson is a member of the American Academy of Optometry and the American Optometric Association.
Aside from his passion for eye care, Dr. Henderson enjoys spending time with his friends and family and taking advantage of all the outdoor activities that Colorado provides. He also spends time walking his English Bulldog Churchill.

I had a very good experience going to see Dr. Henderson. From the time I arrived to the time I was seen was a very short wait time. Overall everyone on site was super friendly and professional. The person who did all the initial testing/imaging of my eyes was also super professional, personable and knowledgeable, after all the initial tests the wait time to see Dr. Henderson himself was also a very short period. I look forward to returning for future visits to this Dr. and his team.

Lots of reminders before appointment (too many, lol).
They wanted to dilate my pupils but didn't tell me that prior to the appointment, so I couldn't do it as I had to go back to work. So, better communication there (unless that's standard with an eye exam, and then that would be my bad).

All 3 appointments have been very nice. Everyone is kind and professional. Dr. Henderson noticed I needed a prison, when previous doctors did not. I am excited to get a new prescription for glasses so I can see!

Experience was fine once I was able to see a doctor, waited an hour in a waiting room with my pupils dilated between getting my measurements and seeing the doctor. Either understaffed or overbooked.
