My first video visit ever and Dr. Morchower eased my fears while helping me better than any other doctor I’ve been to. He was highly recommended and now I’m recommending him to everyone too! While all the other doctors treat you ugly for wanting pain management that works for you, Dr. Morchower INSISTS on a plan that helps you the best without immediately pushing you to get injections. Injections made my daily pain worse! He doesn’t make you continue to suffer the way other doctors do. Now I can care for my family and work all day without crying in bed at the end of the night from being in agony all day! Thank you, doc!

Dr Morchower's bedside manner is unsurpassed by any other pain management physician I've encountered thus far. Not only is he understanding and thorough in his examination, his unbiased manner set my mind at ease as I explained, with complete honesty, some issues that occurred with a prior pain MGMT Dr. Instead of assuming pain medication acquisition, Dr Morchower initiated a plan to control my current pain, (that had been severely interfering with my daily activities, now under control thanks to Dr Morchower's help... ), and placed in priority my goal in receiving a spinal cord stimulator implant. Because of the extensive radiculopathy in my cervical spine and the lumbar spondylolisthesis, he ordered a thoracic MRI, despite the lack of pain in that area and a subsequent denial I previously received from another pain physician. Dr Morchower's comprehensive style coupled with his genuine passion to reasonably resolve and continuously manage pain issues uniquely sets him in a league above his peers within the same field and even across the entire medical field. Andrew H. Morchower M.D., M.P.H. is a native of Dallas, Texas. He is board-certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and a fellowship-trained interventional spine and pain management physician. He utilizes a wide range of minimally invasive techniques and musculoskeletal ultrasound to relieve pain.
Dr. Morchower completed his interventional spine & pain fellowship with Orthopaedic and Spine Specialists in Pennsylvania. Prior to fellowship, he completed his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. Dr. Morchower earned his medical degrees , as well as Masters of Public Health from Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans. He has presented both nationally and internationally on topics related to the management of pain and continues to keep up with the most current approaches to pain management.
Dr Morchower’s care philosophy centers on understanding each patient and their unique chronic pain experience . He strives to partner with his patient, by educating them on the best options for treatment, while giving them a renewed sense of hope.
Dr. Morchower is certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the International Spine Intervention Society, the Texas Pain Society and the International Society of Physical Rehabilitation Medicine. Very empathetic and sweet doctor. I have been suffering through many treatments given by various experts over 15 years, and Dr. Morchower finally made a difference without making me feel inferior. He is so sweet, you’ll end up with a secret crush on him after your visit???? (innocent, I swear!) Choose him as your pain specialist and your pain will definitely be managed !

When he said I would have to do a urinalysis for a certain rx - he asked if I smoked pot or any street drugs. I jokingly replied, "only heroin everyday !" With that he smiled, "oh well thats OK .."

I was very impressed with Dr. Morchower's service. He was very down to earth and personable. I felt very comfortable with him and felt he gave me a thorough examination and explained my options in at just the right level of detail. He even spoke to me in Spanish and was very proficient.
Dr. Morchower even went out of his way to refer me to an Imaging Service that worked out very well for me. I would highly recommend his services to anyone that is having back pain. His number one priority is patient care and he has a nice bedside manner.
