I’ve been a patient of Dr. McElya for a year now. Staff is friendly and attentive. Dr. McElya is quick, thorough, and it’s clear that he cares about his patients. The same can be said for his numerous PAs. The only drawback is that, more often than not, the wait time prior to the appointment can be quite long. Thankfully the waiting room is comforting, and coffee is also provided for those who need a caffeine fix.

Didn't spend much time with me discussing the reason that took me there, which is acceptable for my case. The NP did all the explanation and advised me what she was doing, what to expect, treatment, lab testing, etc. She wasawesome. Soon as she was done I knew my appointment was over, then the Doc came in. That's where I was somewhat confused because I didn't see the reason for him to be there Overall, their practice served my needs. I'll rate him next time if I find myself there for a different treatment.

I wish he would have taken his time maybe slowed down a little. He is very nice but always seems in a hurry.

Unable to get a visit. There were 13 other people waiting upon arrival. An appointment does not guarantee getting seeing at specific time, which does not work for my schedule.

Very thorough, caring and professional with a great staff. Wait times are minimal. Your concerns and privacy are the if upmost importance. I have been going to Dr. McElya for years and have never had a bad experience. I would recommend his practice to anyone.

He really made an effort to explain and to make sure I understood the current and future actions taken to alleviate the issue. He was also energetic and in a very good mood, which, being a doctor's office, makes you feel more relaxed.

Dr. McElya was very friendly. I only waited a little over 30 minutes to see him, which was a big improvement from the last time I went to Neighborhood Med. Center. Last time I went I also had set an appointmentand waited 1 hour and 45 minutes. So 30+ minutes was nice.

Excellent quality care. The wait time/"overall" experience and quality of care are seperate measurements. This question is irrelevant. Maybe the wait time can be correlated with patients' satisfaction with care

I made an appointment with the office previously and waited so long to be seen I had to leave (an hour past my appointment time had passed before I left). I had already paid at the front desks request or Iwouldn't have returned. However, I made another appointment since they already had my money. This time was no different. I was in the waiting room well past my appointment time and then waited in the Dr. room for a very long time as well. Definitely wouldn't recommend or return due to lack of timeliness nor concern for time.

Waiting time has increased over the years... Wait time has went from 30 minutes to 1 hour wait before being called to the back!!! Another 1 1/2 hours before you are seen by a Doctor!!! Overall waiting time is RIDICULOUS! however, doctors and staff are very nice and professional.

It took well over an hour to see someone. I just don't really have that long to wait. They blamed it on a large number of walk-ins. As far as I'm concerned, appointments should come first. Otherwise, why am I making appointments?

40 year old male professional - good general health and average fitness Dr McElya is perfect for me. He is high energy and a straight shooter, which might not be for everyone. He is also pleasant and genuine. He listens anddiscusses any and all options for care including lifestyle and whole health options, which I appreciate. The staff is efficient, helpful, and perfectly friendly. If you need your doc to coddle you, he might not be your guy, but if you're serious about being healthy and appreciate a practical approach, I highly recommend Dr McElya.
