Dr. Andrew Schwartz received his bachelor of science degree cum laude from Tufts University and went on to perform research at McLean Hospital of Harvard Medical School. Dr Schwartz received his medical degree from Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine, graduating at the top of his class and was an Alban Scholars Grant recipient. He completed his residency in Ophthalmology at The Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York serving as chief resident.
Dr. Schwartz is a member of the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha honor medical society, is an active fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and is board certified. He is a member of the New York State Medical Society, New York County Medical Society and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.

The entire office is immaculately clean, gorgeous and the equipment is modern. Dr. Schwartz, Ellie and Adrienne had excellent bedside manner, calm dispositions and were very thorough. The appointment was 2 hours, which was completely reasonable for the procedure and exams I needed.

Dr. Andrew Schwartz is an excellent eye doctor, particularly if a person has a difficult to fit prescription. Also in his office is an amazing facial/eye surgeon, Dr. Ebby Elahi, who is one of the best in his field.

When making appointment I stated my wanting to have doctor not be rushed so that we could talk. Given appointment at 4:15pm on Friday of Fouth of July weekend. Office was empty of patients. They had not scheduled eye exam. Doctor just said we needed that for correct assessment and had it done.
Dr. Schwartz then looked at my numbers and took time to explain my lucky situation. I very much appreciated his taking the time, his patience and knowledge.
I was to get a long distance lens in cataract operation. Yikes I could read without glasses so presumed I had gotten wrong lens. Doctor Schwartz took time to sit down and explain to me that I had indeed gotten long distance lens but my eye had reacted to surgery in such a way that I am one of the lucky ones that am able to see both near and far as result of my eyes reaction to the surgery.
