This Dr is awesome and thorough but the staff is horrible. I’ve been her patient for about 4 years and I brought my family there too but every time I scheduled an appointment they would either cancel it or not make it at all. I’ve been trying to see my Dr for the last month if not more but this last time push me over the edge. I made the appointment a week ago and never received a confirmation and when I contacted the office I was told that the person that books the Zocdoc appointments is not in, I guess the person hasn’t been in for a full week. But to top it off she started putting me on hold for no reason and giving me the nastiest attitude. I work in the medical field also and I wish my boss could see us treating patients this way you would lose your job in no time cause unprofessionalism. Anyway I proceeded to asking for my medical record and was told I have to pay to receive it and I have to come into the office. I’m leaving and so is my entire family.

Doctor Slezinger has been my primary doctor for over a year now and I absolutely adore her. To think that there is a doctor in NYC that actually takes the time to speak to you and ask's you about your concerns and how to better help you it's still astonishing. She really cares about her patients and I know when I see her she is going to take her time, she never rushes me, she always gives me an explanation she doesn't just say something without elaborating.
She does't take unnecessary test to bill your insurance. She is just a good doctor and that is really hard to find now a days. A simple good doctor that actually cares. I recommend her to anyone who is looking for a doctor that is knowledgeable and cares. She does OBGYN, regular check ups, blood work, etc and if she feels that she ins't 100 percent positive about a diagnosis she refers you to a specialize such as a dermatologist.
She also recommends alternative medicine, such as yoga, meditation and plain relaxation methods to help the stress levels go down. From someone that suffers from anxiety that is important to me, to have someone who believes in alternative therapy and isn't going to prescribe medicine left to right.
The only thing is that you have to go to her office to get your results. She won't reveal it over the phone or on a computer system, but if she doesn't call you through the 2 weeks of waiting for your results that usually means that your good. My experience.

Gave my son his shots and both times did not have all the vaccines on hand.. so switched pcp to only find out she did not report the shots that were given in the system. so he had to take them all over again.

Dr. Anele Slezinger was the best! She really made an effort to get to know me and my medical history as a new patient. She's extremely knowledgeable and her bedside manner was excellent. The clinic is super clean and front desk was professional and welcoming. I recommend her to anyone looking for an excellent primary doctor in the South Bronx.

I waited a while to see her however, overall she is great. She took her time to know me and my history. I went in for my annual pap and it was by far the best visit I ever had. She was gentle, informative, patient and caring. I look forward to seeing her again. I plan to make her my primary doctor. Office staff is very nice as well.

Dr. Slezinger is a great, loving and very helpful doctor. But I don't know if her workload is too much or what, but my past two visits has been a long wait. 1st appointment, everything went great and smooth. 2nd time I went, I didn't have an appointment, I came in as a walk-in, around 9:30am. They directed me to a patient room around 10am, but I didn't see the doctor for a hour, and only because I complained to the receptionist. Granted, I didn't have an appointment, so I gave her the benefit of the doubt. But today, I had an appointment at 10am, got there at 10:02am, with no one in the waiting room but myself. The nurse brought me to the patient room around 10:20, told me to wait for the doctor. 11:00am came and no one has seen me yet. I stormed out, told the receptionist I was leaving. She asked why, I told her "I'm not waiting for a hour to see a doctor, when I'm the only one here." Mind you, there's only one patient in the waiting room now, and the only one I've seen since I came. So what's the hold up? Dr. Slezinger called me and sincerely apologized immediately after I left, but that still does not change the fact, that I've waited for an hour for no apparent reason. So like I stated, kind and great doctor, but the wait-time is ridiculous.

I do NOT recommend this practice. The first time I went I waited almost 3 hours to be seen, and another patient's sudden medical emergency was pointed out as the cause. This time I waited 2 hours and there was no such issue, and no apology either.
The doctor met me in the exam room, frazzled and rushed, after I went to the front desk saying I needed to leave after having to wait so long. She was short with me when I pointed out her hurried frenzy (it made me really uncomfortable since I was having an intimate well woman's visit). During my visit, she would go back and forth between me and a patient across the hall (she went left about 5 times). I've never seen a doctor do that. You may wait sometimes, but the doctor finishes your visit before attending to another person. That's probably why she was so harried. In any case, I do not want a doctor who's on edge and not giving me her undivided attention.
She also told me two other people had to be in the room during my check up, which again, no other doctor has told me that.
When I left, there was no one at the front desk. I waited a moment and a woman who spoke limited English appeared, and flat-out told me "wait" right before she left the desk again. I left cause I had already been there for over 2 hours and frankly had had enough of the nonsense.
It looks like this practice will accept walk-ins at any time of the day and put them ahead of people with appointments. Then all staff, including the doctor and front desk attendants are running around the practice like the building is on fire. It's madness. Accept walk-ins at a certain time/on a certain day and do not put them before people who have made appointments!

I do not usually write reviews, but I have to for Dr. Slezinger. I love Dr. Slezinger. Her bedside manner is absolutely amazing. I met her the first time for an urgent situation and the way she handled it made me feel so much better and calm. She is the most thorough doctor that I have ever met. I cannot see myself or my children using another physician. Her office staff is amazing. From our telephone conversation, to me being in the office, they are always professional, nice, and helpful. The office is brand new and beautiful. I love the decorations and how clean it is. I am happy that I found Dr. Slezinger and I plan to stay with her as long as I can.

Dr. Slezinger was amazingly patient, intelligent, and caring; she attentively listened to all of my concerns and recommended solutions and follow-up care. The office space is beautiful and was not crowded. I went on an odd day - another patient had a sudden medical emergency so all appointments were pushed back.
I ended up spending 3 hours at the office which was awfully inconvenient. However, the staff and doctor acknowledged the delay and were very apologetic. Also, it is hard to find a PCP as genuinely concerned and dedicated to her patients, so I'll be back.

First of all the location is so neat!!!! The receptionist was very welcoming,I waited for about 10mins and was called in by the medical assistant who was so pleasant which made me feel comfortable and wow! Dr.slezinger was patient with me,she listened to all my complaints and never interrupted me,she was so knowledgeable about my condition and she quickly got on the phone to get me a specialist for my treatment... am so glad I made Dr.Slezinger my new doctor!
