Dr. Angel M. Rosario was born in Arecibo Puerto Rico in 1956. He completed his Bachelor degree in Science at the University of Puerto Rico in 1978. He completed his Medical degree from the Universidad Central del Caribe Escuela de Medicina in Puerto Rico in 1981.
Dr. Rosario did his first and second year residency in Internal Medicine at St. Elizabeth Hospital Medical Center in Youngstown Ohio and his senior year at the Hospital Universitario Dr. Ramon Ruiz Arnau Bayamon, Puerto Rico.
After completing his residency Dr. Rosario joined the US Army as a Medical Officer and was assigned to Wommack Army Hospital in Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Dr. Rosario was commisioned as a Captain and later promoted to Major. During his service in the military he was involved in teaching family practice resident. He also served as Chief of Medical clinic for a period of time. He also was the Officer in Charge of the Pulmonary, tuberculosis and HIV clinic. In 1989 he completed his military service and was awarded the Army Commendation medal at the same time he was accepted at the Washington Hospital Center in Washington D.C. for a gastroenterology fellowship, which was completed in 1991. Dr. Rosario is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He started his practice of gastroenterology in the New Port Richey area in 1991 and later in Tampa, Florida.
Dr. Rosario has been listed in "The Best Doctors in America" in 2002-2003, and was highlighted in the Oct/Nov issue of the Tampa Bay magazine article entitled the "2002 Best Bay Area Doctors."
Dr. Rosario is married since 1981 to Yolanda and they have a daughter, who is studying Medicine at the present time.
