More about Dr. Angela Marx, OD
Angela Marx, O.D. received her Doctor of Optometry from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University with Honors. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Scranton with a Bachelor of Science in Biophysics.
While in optometry school, she performed internships at the Baltimore Vision Fitness Center, Wilkes-Barre VA Hospital, Northeastern Eye Institute, and the William Feinbloom Center in Philadelphia. Her professional memberships include the American Optometric Association, the New York State Optometric Association, where she currently serves as a Regional Trustee for the Hudson-Mohawk Region on the board, and the South-Central Optometric Society, of which she is the immediate past president.
Dr. Marx loves working with children and has volunteered with the Lions Club Special Olympics Program and volunteers at the Ithaca Health Alliance providing eye exams and glasses to the under- and uninsured of Tompkins County. She is an avid sports fan, played softball through college, and coached and umpired girls’ fast-pitch softball.
When she is not in the office, Dr. Marx enjoys spending time with her husband and two children and can be found serving her community, whether at Mercy House of the Southern Tier or her daughter's school, where she currently serves as co-PTO president.
