I was born in India in a military household where I finished my education until high school from a private military school. After my family migrated to New York in 1990, I completed my higher education in the tri-state area. I graduated cum laude from SUNY Stony Brook University. From there I went on to finish my medical school from Ross University. After that did my Internal Medicine residency at Columbia college of Physicians and Surgeons hospital in Stamford, CT. There I met my wife and partner Dr. Monika Yadav. After our medical training in Connecticut, we moved to the south to start our own practice.
We always had a certain vision of our own private practice that would be built around patients’ needs, yet balancing latest evidence based medical protocols. We started with a single location primary care office in 2004, and then added our Medspa in 2006, opened our Cherokee County office in 2010, opened our Weight Loss Center in 2012, and should end our growth with our last location in Gilmer County, which will open November 2014. We are active community members of both Pickens and Cherokee Counties, where we volunteer to provide lots of medical services like sports physicals for Pickens County Middle School Students & Cherokee County High School Students.
Work keeps me busy, but it allows me plenty of time to spend with my two kids – Milan and Sofia. They were born in Cherokee County and are proud southerners. They enjoy the local public schools and engage in lots of outdoor sports possible by the wonderful southern weather. I try to stay healthy with physical fitness as I do practice what I preach - that mainly include mountain biking, tennis and track running.
