Dr. Anita Silva, born and raised in central Pennsylvania, graduated from Penn State University followed by Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska. She completed her residency at Mercy Hospital and Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois and worked on staff at Washington University in St. Louis followed by Multicare Health Systems in Tacoma, WA. Along with her husband, Andy, a pediatric otolaryngologist, she moved to Northern Virginia in 2000 and has practiced in Leesburg, Virginia since 2002.
Dr. Silva emphasizes holistic women’s health care, providing services for women of all ages. In addition to comprehensive office consultations and well woman appointments, Dr. Silva offers surgical and medical options for contraception, heavy bleeding, endometriosis and uterine fibroids/polyps. In addition, Dr. Silva has a large teenage population and addresses specific needs such as contraception, regulation of periods and prevention of sexual transmitted infections. Dr. Silva and her husband have two children in college, and she enjoys outdoor activities, watching football (Go Steelers!) and reading in her spare time.
