Dr. Bellinger recently joined the Illinois Pain Institute as an Interventional Pain Physician. Prior to coming to Illinois she had for many years a shared position at the VA in lowa City and at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics where she completed her Anesthesia Residency and Pain Fellowship. She focuses on the following conditions: Back and neck pain, disc herniations, sciatica, musculoskeletal pain, joint pains, nerve related pains/CRPS, polyneuropathies, headaches, cancer pain and pelvic pain. Dr. Bellinger performs Radiofrequency lesioning for facet joints, spinal cord stimulation and "Stimwave" for peripheral nerves. Dr. Bellinger's main target is to accurately diagnose and treat the cause of the pain in order to restore the highest level of functioning and quality of life possible. The treatment is highly personalized and she keeps patients and referring providers well-informed and involved in care.
