I really enjoyed the visit. The staff was very attentive, kind, organized and I felt like I was seen pretty promptly. The doctor is such sweetheart and thoroughly answered all concerns and didn't give you the feeling of being rushed. Highly recommend ....won't be disappointed.

Dr. Ankitkumar Patel is an interventional cardiologist and the founder and director of the Structural Heart Center at Hackensack University Medical Center- Mountainside.
Dr. Patel graduated from New York University and the University of Medicine and Dentistry New Jersey (Rutgers Medical School). His strong academic credentials enabled him to receive a full scholarship for the course of his studies. In addition to medical school, he also received a Master’s degree in Public Health, focusing on Biostatistics and Epidemiology. He completed his cardiology postgraduate training at Cooper University Hospital, Camden NJ.
Since joining Montclair Cardiology in 2014, he has become an indispensable member of the team, well-liked and respected by his patients and colleagues. He performed the first primary angioplasty (emergent opening of the heart blood vessel) using radial (wrist) approach at Hackensack UMC Mountainside Hospital. His ability to perform cardiac procedures with a minimally invasive approach has given another reason why Montclair Cardiology is seen as an outstanding high quality medical practice.
When not taking care of his patients, Dr. Patel, who grew up in Edison NJ, enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He likes to travel and read history books.
Dr Patel is Board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Echocardiography and Nuclear Cardiology. He holds an academic appointment at Rutgers Medical School.
