She seemed prepared for a new patient (me) and conducted what I guess was an adequate exam although she spent a LOT of time on her computer entering data while I just sat and waited.

Dr. Nguyen is an optometrist that is therapeutically certified and licensed to practice full-scope optometry. Her focus is on primary eye care, specialty contact lens fittings, pediatric care, geriatric care and management of ocular diseases.
Dr. Nguyen completed her undergraduate studies at University of California, Irvine. She then received her Doctorate of Optometry from the University of California, Berkeley and earned honors at her internship at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami. During her time at Berkeley, she actively led a student group where she organized international missions abroad to provide free vision care services to communities to Nicaragua, Haiti and Thailand. She has over a decade of clinical experience practicing in largely diverse communities such as Los Angeles, New York City and the Bay Area.
Dr. Nguyen values quality patient care. A top priority is ensuring patients feel comfort and confidence in her skills as a clinician. She enjoys working in a family practice environment where she can see families grow and evolve year after year in her continued care. She speaks conversational Vietnamese and clinical Spanish.
Dr. Nguyen is a southern California native who has returned from several years in New York City. She enjoys reading, traveling and playing the drums and piano.

Dr. Nguyen dilated my eyes before having me try on my new prescription. This made for an uncomfortable experience and it was incredibly difficult to tell how well this new prescription actually worked.

Dr. Nguyen was great! It was my first eye exam and she took the time to ensure I understood what we would be doing and explained all the terminology which made the visit very comforting. Highly recommend!

Really incredible. I haven't been to an eye doctor in a decade so I didn't know what to expect but the whole office was very very good to me. The exam was quick and Dr. Nguyen was fantastic about walking me through what was happening. They really went above and beyond in helping me to understand what my insurance covered and how to best take advantage of it. I was so glad I had an exam even though I don't have vision issues.
