Dr. Ann Van Horne is proud to call herself a Colorado native! She attended the University of Colorado in Boulder where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and later earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with Honors from Troy State University in Alabama. Dr. Ann lived and worked in London for a year before starting medical school at Midwestern University in Chicago. She met her husband, Javier around that time and insisted that they return to her native Colorado after completing her pediatric residency at Rush University Hospital in Chicago.
For nine years, Dr. Ann worked as a physician within the Section of Emergency Medicine at Children's Hospital Colorado. She gained a great deal of valuable experience but missed the long-term patient and family relationships she enjoyed during her continuity clinic in residency. While at Children's, Dr. Ann served as Medical Director for two of the hospital's urgent care centers, established a program helping doctors gain airway management experience and created and chaired the Annual Pediatric Urgent Care Conference. Dr. Ann loves practicing medicine but above all enjoys the easy rapport she's able to develop with patients and families.
Dr. Ann has volunteered for the Boulder County AIDS Project, provided medical services in Mexico and mentored youth through the Big Brothers / Big Sisters program. Most recently Dr. Ann served for three years on the Board of Urban Peak, an organization that serves homeless youth in Denver.
Outside of work, Dr. Ann is passionate about her husband, two young daughters, cooking and CrossFit. She loves interior design, reading, hiking, skiing, traveling and taking long walks with her elderly but spry Jack Russell Terrier, Zoe.

Love the fact that the office gets me in right away, I never have to wait. The staff is very knowledgeable and make me feel comfortable. Dr. Ann is very caring - she follows up and makes sure my kids are doing well :)
