Qualifications and Experience
Annette Asper has 14 years of orthopedic experience. She worked at Kootenai Health on the orthopedic floor as charge nurse as well as hospital supervisor. She has worked in a general orthopedic practice as a DNP in a primary care role with a multidisciplinary team and provided community based care for musculo-skeletal diseases. She has worked as ad hoc faculty and a lecturer at Gonzaga University since 2012. Annette received her undergraduate degree in nursing from Lewis Clark State College in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, where she served as the nursing representative to the College’s associated students. She earned her masters degree in nursing with the focus on family practice from Gonzaga University in Washington. She is a Jonas scholar and pursued her doctoral nursing degree from Frontier Nursing University, Kentucky. She graduated summa cum laude in 2013. Her capstone project focused on identifying and developing curricula for primary healthcare providers focusing on primary care of musculoskeletal diseases.
