The doctor was more concerned about my presence, as my child's parent, in the room than the actual reason of why we were there. She immediately wanted to talk about other things, such as her social life and ADHD meds, rather than the sickness my kid was experiencing. Then proceeded to ask my daughter if she "wanted me to kick her (me/her parent) out of the room." I understand Washington State laws and I understand my child is "officially" at the age where she can see a doctor by herself, but when it's apparent she feels awful and she's turning to me to help answer questions, this doctor has zero respect for parents or families. She also doesn't seem to want to listen to any concerns when they came from me, as a parent, about my childs' sickness.
