Dr. Sharma was born in India and grew up in New York City. He graduated from Queens College, City University of New York with BA in Biology with Honors, and then attended the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center for medical school. After graduating from medical school in 1996 he completed his Urological Surgical residency at UMDNJ medical school in New Jersey. After finishing residency Dr Sharma went on to complete a fellowship in Male/Female Reconstructive Urology and Neurourology/Voiding dysfunction in Jackson, Mississippi. With Dr Patel, Dr Sharma founded ASUI in 2003. In addition to reconstructive surgeries for spinal cord injury, male erectile dysfunction, Peyronie's disease , urethral reconstruction and female incontinence/ prolapse Dr Sharma enjoys doing Endourological and laparoscopic surgeries for stone disease and urological malignancies. He lives in Chandler with his family.
