More about Dr. Anthony Woodruff, MD
Dr. Woodruff is originally from Arkansas where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Harding University with Magna Cum Laude honors. He then earned his medical degree at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Dr. Woodruff then completed his General Surgery Internship at Oschner Medical Center and Louisiana State University in New Orleans, Louisiana. After this he completed his Urologic Residency at LSU/Oschner Medical Center. Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans during Dr. Woodruff’s training. In the aftermath of the hurricane, Dr. Woodruff relocated to University of Texas Southwest Medical Center and Children’s Hospital in Dallas, Texas for a portion of his training before returning to New Orleans to complete his residency training.
Dr. Woodruff has always been very interested in all types of urologic malignancy, so, after completing his urologic residency, he completed a Fellowship in Minimally Invasive Urologic Oncology at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle, Washington.
Prior to residing in Scottsdale, Dr. Woodruff practiced urology in Fayetteville, Arkansas where he served as Director of Robotic Surgery at Northwest Medical Center.
