About Antoinette
Antoinette was born and raised in Albuquerque. She has been a pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist for 18 years and has worked with children in schools and through early intervention. Antoinette has worked with children with all abilities, and although she provides services for a variety of speech and language disorders, her heart is in early intervention and children up to 8 years old struggling with articulation and apraxia.
My Approach To Speech Therapy
I believe children learn best through play and a strong model. I provide child-led therapy and parent coaching. Parents are the most important influence on children and have a significant impact on their development. Sometimes, we as parents don't recognize communication attempts or can be overwhelmed and at a loss when their child isn't developing at the expected rate. It is important to me to empower parents to feel confident they are doing everything they can to facilitate their child's communication.
What A Session Looks Like With Antoinette
We start each session with parents’ opportunity to celebrate wins. Sometimes we don't realize when our child is making progress, so every little step forward deserves acknowledgement. We allow the child to lead our session. Language can take place anytime and anywhere; it is our job to provide a supportive, fun, safe environment that allows your child to begin to communicate and take risks with their communication attempts.

I am an Air Force Veteran, I once had a small farm with a milk cow in our backyard! I have three children. I love traveling and learning about new cultures.
