The most detailed eye exam I have ever received. Dr.Kubal did cataract surgery and DMEK cornea transplants on my eyes in 2015 and my current vision is 20/15 and 20/40. Dr. Kubal combines excellent skills with an super nice personality.

Location was easy to find and convenient to my office. Completed paperwork online and only had sign a FEW more forms once I arrived. Waiting room pleasant with ample seating (also packed with patients). Staff nice and some even funny. Dr. Kapul was engaging and showed genuine concern for my issue and intent on helping me feel better. Offered an optional follow up to assess my healing process once I've completed the prescription.
Appreciate the upfrontness of signs with the wait time (2-3hrs) due to personalized attention. However, I've never waited that long at any eye appointment. My wait time was about 1hr before taken in for assessment. Another 10-15 min before I saw the dr. Total time there 2hr 45 min.
I do plan to return but I'll be sure to keep my afternoon open.

Dr. Anup Kubal is a Cornea, External Diseases and Refractive Surgery specialist. Dr. Kubal attended medical school at the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York, completed his internship at St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, his residency at the Wilmer Eye Institute, Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, and a fellowship at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute at the University of Miami. He has been on faculty at the University of Florida since 2010, where he has served as Director of the Refractive Surgery service and Director of Medical Student education in Ophthalmology.
Dr. Kubal is board certified with the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, the International Society of Refractive Surgery, and the Florida Society of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Kubal performs LASIK evaluations and procedures. In addition to refractive surgery, his interests include cataract surgery and premium intraocular lens implants, corneal transplantation including lamellar or partial thickness corneal transplantation, and ocular surface surgeries including removal of pterygium and ocular surface tumors.
He will be happy to assist with your patient’s eye care at our Plantation and Aventura locations.

Love the visit. The doctor and staff are very welcoming and super professional. Only thing would change is the insurance confirmation a day earlier which would have helped with the waiting time.
