All members of the staff I interacted with during my visit made me feel very seen (haha) and gave me comprehensive options, explanations and care for my vision and budget. It is worth the cost, I have pretty significant eye problems and have never had a doctor spend as much time considering the best course of treatment before.

Dr. Chiu provided exceptional care. My previous doctor disregarded a chronic issue I experience but Dr. Chiu, without prompting, identified it and gave advice for holistic healing of the underlying problem instead of the bandaid fix that was previously suggested. She’s a great listener and offered excellent advice. I’m finally feeling relief from a problem that could have been addressed in the past.

This was my first time at this office and I really enjoyed my visit today! it was very relaxing and I felt like I was being taken care of! I’m super excited for my new glasses, the person who helped me, Christine, knew my budget so she helped me shop in that department but offered a cuter pair when I said I liked gold rimmed, they were only a little over budget but she checked with me first before selecting. They fit awesome and I’m so excited to receive them! Doctor Chiu was super professional and kind! we talked about my past eye health and made sure we got the correct prescription and did lots of test to make sure it was all in line! I will definitely be coming back next year and I am very satisfied with my visit! Thank you for making my first time here awesome! I would 11/10 recommend this office

I have been going to Cathedral Eye Care since 2016, and I always have a great experience. I love the frame selection and helpful, skilled opticians. They carry beautiful quality frames — worth the price for something that is used daily and worn on the face! This was my first exam with Dr. Chiu. She is knowledgeable, friendly, and thorough. I will look forward to booking with her again next year. This was also my first visit in over two years, due to the pandemic. I felt very comfortable with the office’s safety measures, including air purifiers in the exams rooms.

Admittedly, I was running late to this appointment. I called the clinic ahead of time letting them know I was going to be about 10 minutes late, they said if it was more than 10 minutes they wouldn’t see me, but I should still come. I arrived right at 10 minutes late, and I felt the tension in the air. The tech who help me put up a decent front, but I could feel his impatience. I paid the extra $39 out of pocket to have the machine take photos of my eyes so as not to have them dilated, and it took two separate rounds of photographs, lasting roughly 10 minutes each. We just couldn’t get the photo right because my lids are so heavy, but I tried as hard as I could to open my eyes wide. The technician was frustrated, I was frustrated.
I wouldn’t say it was a bad experience, but I didn’t feel very welcome, and honestly, i’ll probably try a different clinic next time.
Dr. April Chiu was great though! She was super friendly and warm, and she seemed very confident, and knowledgeable.

I had originally booked the appointment for mid-February as it was the soonest available, but the office automatically added me to the cancelation list and was able to bump me up to an appointment within a few days.
