As a nurse practitioner, I have dedicated my career to the provision of health services to underserved communities and vulnerable populations. As a National Health Service Corp ambassador, I collaborated closely with several members of Congress and former Gov. Susanna Martinez (NM) to increase the availability of mental health services in rural underserved communities. I am driven to provide clients with the highest level of holistic care.
In your opinion, what should be the role of a primary care provider for a patient, taking into account both physical health and behavioral health needs?
The role of the provider is to collaborate with clients to create a treatment plan that meets the holistic needs of the client taking their physical and mental well-being into account.
Tell us a little bit about yourself. What do you like to do in your spare time?
I enjoy traveling and spending quality time with my family. I love the outdoors and enjoy hiking, snowboarding, paddle boarding, surfing, and kayaking.
