What should a new client know about working with you?

Throughout my career, I’ve seen how mental health stigma can prevent individuals from seeking help, and I’m committed to normalizing mental health care for everyone. I strive to break down these barriers and encourage open, honest conversations about mental health to promote healing and well-being. My practice is built on trust, empathy, and a shared commitment to achieving emotional and mental wellness. From the very first session, my goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable, understood, and safe to be yourself. I believe therapy works best when it’s collaborative, so I work closely with you to understand your unique concerns and goals. Whether you’re struggling with anxious thought patterns or facing challenges in other areas of life, I’m here to listen, support, and guide you. Together, we will explore the underlying issues contributing to your distress and develop practical strategies to foster emotional resilience and self-compassion. I want you to know you don’t have to face your struggles alone. I’m dedicated to helping you feel more at ease with yourself and your experiences. My hope is each session leaves you feeling more equipped to navigate life’s challenges with confidence and clarity, knowing that you are taking meaningful steps toward emotional well-being.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our sessions will be an opportunity for you to express whatever is on your mind in a supportive, non-judgmental environment. I approach each session with genuine care and attention, using evidence-based methods tailored to your specific needs. Depending on your goals, we might focus on uncovering patterns in your thoughts, behaviors, and emotions that may be contributing to feelings of anxiety or distress. We will explore what you can control, and I will help you develop the skills to cope with what’s outside of your control. Medication management may also be part of your treatment plan if it’s appropriate for your needs. In this case, we’ll work together to find the right balance of medication and therapy to support your mental health. I believe strongly in the combined approach of psychotherapy and medication when needed, as both can play an important role in achieving lasting mental wellness. Each session will build upon the last, focusing on gradual progress and sustainable changes that enhance your overall quality of life.
