Hey there! I'm Acacia Quaintance, a Licensed Independent Social Worker, and I'm so glad you're here! I help with PTSD/trauma, perinatal mental health, life transitions, and so much more. Let's tackle life's challenges together! My approach My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and results-driven. I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients reframe unhelpful thoughts and EMDR to process trauma and promote healing. I tailor treatment to your needs, creating a safe space for transformation and growth. My focus I work with clients of all backgrounds but primarily with adults who have experienced trauma or PTSD. I also have experience supporting clients through transitions, depression, and anxiety. Additionally, I enjoy helping new moms adjust to motherhood. My communication style I create a warm, supportive, and judgment-free space where clients feel truly heard and understood. My sessions are a mix of deep work and practical strategies, balanced with compassion and a touch of humor when needed. Clients often describe working with me as safe, empowering, and transformative-a space where they can be real, process difficult emotions, and gain the tools to move forward with confidence. My journey to mental healthcare My journey to becoming a therapist began with my own experience in therapy. I have cerebral palsy, which affects my legs, and I often felt like an outcast, struggling with self-worth and self-esteem. As a young adult, I started therapy, and it was an incredible, life-changing experience. I knew then that I wanted to help others feel the same way my therapy made me feel. I earned my Master's in Social Administration from Case Western Reserve University, which equipped me with the skills to support clients effectively. Today, I continue to be inspired daily by my clients and their journeys.
