More about Dr. Arnold Meyerowitz, MD
Dr. Meyerowitz earned his medical degree from the University of Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa in 1973. He emigrated to the U.S.A. in 1978 and obtained his diploma from the American Board of Family Practice after completing his residency at the Cleveland General Hospital. In 1988 he received additional qualification in geriatric medicine, a new found specialty dealing with medically related problems of the elderly.
After moving to Phoenix, Dr. Meyerowitz worked on contract with a local health plan before founding Tempe Family Care in the Spring of 1985. He subsequently relocated to his Chandler office in February 1989.
Dr. Meyerowitz has supplemented his formal training in psychology. Certified in Geriatric medicine, Board Eligible in Functional and Integrative Medicine. He is a member of the Banner and Dignified Health Networks and has active membership with American and Maricopa County Medical Society, the AZ Geriatrics Society and the AZ Pain Society.
Dr, Meyerowitz has a family and enjoys interacting with people. He enjoys the outdoors, has an appreciation for literature and the arts and is a well seasoned traveler. With his years of varied clinical experience he has the competence and understanding to care for you and your entire family. He strongly endorses the philosophy that the ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure.
