Arnold Cohen has been a practicing obstetrician and gynecologist for over 30 years. He has authored more than 100 articles and abstracts and is a reviewer for many journals. Dr. Cohen has a special interest in medical complications of pregnancy and implementing a seamless electronic medical record for obstetrical care that will improve quality as well as reduce medical legal risk. He was listed as a Top Doc in Philadelphia magazine 2010 – 2014. Dr. Cohen is a Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Sidney Kimmel Medical College and had been the Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of Einstein Healthcare Network.He continues to be the Residency Director and Chairman of the Department of OB/GYN at Einstein Medical Center Montgomery and Program Director for the Residency in OB/GYN.
Dr. Cohen has served as the President of the Philadelphia Perinatal Society, President of the Obstetrical Society of Philadelphia, President of the Pennsylvania Perinatal Association, Chairman of Pennsylvania Section of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and Chair of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists Committee on Course Coordination. He has been a Philadelphia County representative to the Pennsylvania Medical Society and has also been on the Board of the Society for Maternal Fetal Medicine. He has served as the Chairman of the Risk Review Sub-Committee of the Society for Maternal Fetal Medicine. He presently serves on the Mayor’s Fetal Infant Mortality Review Committee as well as the Maternal Mortality Review Committee.He has been awarded the prestigious J. Robert Wilson Award from the Obstetrical Society of Philadelphia for Contributions to Women’s health as well has the Philadelphia Business Journal’s Lifetime Achievement Award.
