I have a passion for helping children and adolescents navigate the complex world of mental health. My focus is working with children and adolescents ages 5-18 and adults up to 40. As a nurse of 20 years, I firmly believe that a person's emotional well-being is just as important as their physical health, and my mission is to provide compassionate, evidence-based care to support your mental and emotional growth.
I have experienced mental health challenges in my own family where I became passionate for mental health. After working many years as a nurse at the bedside where I developed a strong foundation in healthcare, I returned to school to complete a Post-Master’s Certificate as a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. My training involved extensive clinical experience, working with children and adolescents in various pediatric mental health settings including outpatient clinics and residential inpatient units. My areas of expertise include the evaluation and management of various mental health conditions, such as anxiety disorders, mood disorders, ADHD, and behavioral challenges. I utilize a combination of psychotherapy, medication management when necessary, and lifestyle interventions to create a tailored treatment plan for each person. My approach to mental health is holistic and collaborative. I believe in fostering a safe and trusting environment where patients and families can openly discuss their concerns.
Away from work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and five children. I absolutely love living in Cache Valley, Utah with its amazing mountains and beautiful fall leaves. I enjoy being outside with our three dogs and love traveling, watching movies, hiking, and activities with family friends.
