Dr Einzig, is a compassionate doctor. He took his time to review my symptoms and even spoke with us before visit. In office he was attentive and I felt thoroughly taken care of. Even with uncertain symptoms he put me at ease with information. A true gem in the Bronx. If you have to face disease I wish you recovery and a kind and compassionate Dr like Dr Einzig. I never knew holistic care like this before.

Dr. Avi I. Einzig is an Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Montefiore Medical Center. Dr. Einzig received his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, completed his Internal Medicine Residency at North Shore University Hospital and Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital, followed by a fellowship in Medical Oncology/Hematology and Immunology at Memorial Sloan Kettering.
He was a recipient of an American Cancer Society Clinical Oncology Cancer Development award and has many peer-reviewed journal publications, including Clinical Phase I/II studies. His areas of clinical expertise encompass all aspects of solid tumor and hematologic malignancies. He has a particular interest in innovative therapies in breast cancer, prostate cancer, and lymphoma, and also treats lung cancer and gastrointestinal malignancies.
Dr. Einzig and his devoted staff emphasize an individual approach to each patient’s concerns and management and develop long lasting relationships with them and their families. As an oncologist associated with Einstein/Montefiore for over 30 years, he has developed strong professional contacts with expert consulting physicians and he personally discusses each patient with these consultants and with nationally known specialists. Social work consultations and home care providers are major resources which are utilized to care for the whole patient, maintaining compassion and dignity.
