“1st time pt. The facility has parking adjacent to the building. They have multiple floors with the first floor being primarily for checking in/out. The second floor is where they do the assessments and blood work. I engaged with 3 different Healthcare professionals before seeing Dr. Elrafei. The only thing that was a little strange to me was that they drew a significant amount of blood before even checking my vitals. The man who drew my blood was kind enough to make sure that I had eaten and drank enough water before he drew my blood and even went to find crackers for me before drawing my blood. I hate anything involving needles and even moreso now after my recent experience at an unrelated hospital but he was patient and talked me through it. Everyone working there was pleasant and professional. The appointment took much longer than I originally anticipated but I still made it to my next appointment on time. Dr. Elrafei and his PA, Keisha, were professional and explained everything. ”

About Dr. Tarek Elrafei
Dr. Tarek Elrafei is an Associate Professor of Medicine in Hematology and Medical Oncology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Nova Southeastern University, completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Beth Israel Medical Center, and pursued a fellowship in Medical Oncology and Hematology at the Albert Einstein Cancer Center. Dr. Elrafei is an Attending Physician at Montefiore and Jacobi Medical Center, where he holds several leadership roles, including Chief of the Hematology/Medical Oncology division and Chairman of the Cancer Committee. His clinical practice focuses on a wide range of benign and malignant hematologic conditions, as well as solid tumors. Dr. Elrafei has co-authored numerous scientific articles and has presented at national meetings such as the American Society of Hematology, the San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium, and the American Society of Clinical Oncology.
