I am a Registered Dietitian licensed to practice in Illinois. I received my Bachelors in Nutrition Science with a minor in biological sciences from University of Illinois at Chicago. As an undergrad I participated in research related to diabetes, weight loss, physical activity and public health. I completed 1200 hours of supervised clinical training from Uchicago Medicine Ingalls memorial Dietetic Internship program. During my training I did research on nutrigenomics, diabetes, and weight loss. My overall take away from my educational background was the way each individual requires a unique approach and no two people are the same- this is an understanding I am well versed in. When I am not reading research articles or counseling patients I enjoy playing basketball, jumping rope and doing Pilates. My favorite hobby would have to be gardening. I love to cook with the vegetables I grow as it helps me understand the importance of including fresh fruits and vegetables in the diet. I am passionate about whole food and holistic health in a way that may help you also fall in love with a healthier lifestyle.
