Balazs Galdi, MD is an Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Rutgers-New Jersey Medical School. Dr. Galdi is originally from the North Jersey area. Growing up in North Bergen, he attended Bergen Catholic High School in Oradell, where he was a First Team All-County Athlete in tennis. Following high school, Dr. Galdi received his undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences from Rutgers University in New Brunswick. While at Rutgers, not only was he was Captain and Most Valuable Player of the Division I Men’s Varsity Tennis Team, but he also graduated summa cum laude with highest honors. Furthermore, during his time “On the Banks”, he was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa Academic Honor Society, received the Big East Conference Scholar-Athlete and the Rutgers College Scholastic Excellence awards, and was inducted into the Dean’s List each of his eight semesters. After college, Dr. Galdi subsequently received his medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York, where he was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omeha Alpha Honor Society and was named a Golding Distinguished Scholar. After medical school, Dr. Galdi completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark. Following residency, Dr. Galdi completed the world-renowned Charles Neer Fellowship in Shoulder, Elbow, and Sports Medicine at Columbia University. While in fellowship, Dr. Galdi assisted in the care of the New York Yankees, the Rockland Boulders minor league baseball team, Columbia University athletics and various local high school teams. Dr. Galdi specializes in shoulder, elbow, and sports medicine, and is a firm believer that an individualized treatment plan should be customized for each patient.

The doctor and nurse showed concern and we're fantastic. The office staff did their job but you felt they were doing you a favor and we're very curt.

Good doctor, listens carefully and speaks comfortingly. However the front office reception is extremely chaotic with one person trying to do everything from get new patients to sign up to juggling with paperwork and handling calls at the same time. She was not the most pleasant person, understandably due to the amount of workload. Also it was a 1.5 hour wait even though I had a zocdoc scheduled appointment. This doctors office reception does not have water but only coffee...so carry your own water. Not enough chairs for the number of patients this doctor gets...so expect some standing time. .

I was first seen by his resident, who was not that great, just going through the motions of asking questions but didn't seem to truly listen, but Dr. Galdi himself was great! Dr. Galdi is very friendly and explained very well what he thought was going on. The office staff is also very great!

I have been trying to find a knee doctor and I couldn't find one. The only trouble I had with this dr, was the location. This website says one thing and the location is different. Dr took real good care of me and wants to figure out why I am in so much pain. I am getting married in 2 months and he wants to make sure I am able to walk down the aisle.

As soon as I met the doc, I had a good vibe from him. In my profession reading body language is key, so my judge of character is and always has to be on point. He made me feel as if we have known each other for years but was very professional. He explained everything to me. He let me ask him questions and he answered them right then and there. After he explained and showed my what he was talking about, he then explained our next steps. There was some unexpected news and his delivery of the news was perfect. Once we take care of that then we can move forward. His interest is that of the patients 100%. I'm not gaining anything from stating these true positive words about Dr. Balazs Galdi. He is worth an hour 1 way drive. I would drive 2 hours to see him. Now enough about the good doctor let's talk about his staff. Helen was my main contact at the office. She was very friendly as well as helpful from our first phone conversation. She made sure I understood everything and made sure I had all the documents before the visit as well what to bring. The staff at office was just as friendly and very professional. This is without a doubt the best doctor visit I've ever had, even tho there was some additional not so great news. Words alone cannot describe how great my experience was. If I could have him as my primary doctor I would. This entire visit should be the model standard for all office/practice to follow.

Dr. Galdi's office staff was courteous and explained what forms I needed to fill out. The office was very professional. I waited less than two minutes in the waiting room. Dr. Galdi saw me in the exam room within 5 minutes. Dr. Galdi is courteous, professional and competent. Dr. Galdi was able to diagnose my problem and within 24 hrs I was feeling 100% better.
