About Dr. Maira Lozano

My journey to becoming a physical therapist began after experiencing a running injury while competing in high school cross country and track. Although I always knew I wanted to work in the medical field, my experience as a physical therapy patient introduced me to a profession that combined science, movement, and compassionate patient care. The support and dedication I received during my recovery inspired me to pursue a career where I could help others return to the activities they love. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Biology with a minor in Public Health from Montclair State University and my Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Kean University. After graduation, I joined Professional Physical Therapy, where I have grown as a clinician and now serve as the Clinical Director of the Hoboken office. I am passionate about continuing education and have received advanced mentorship through the Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) residency program. I regularly pursue orthopedic-focused continuing education courses to further develop my skills and provide the highest quality care for my patients.
