Originally from Richmond, Virginia, Dr. Cohen earned his MD at the Autonomous University of Guadalajara in 1972. He then completed his internship at St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Paterson, NJ, and his residency at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore. Dr. Cohen proudly served as a clinical instructor for three years at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, and went on to serve as a fellow of Gynecological Oncology at SUNY Downstate Medical center in Brooklyn. For nearly thirty years, Dr. Cohen served as the corporate president of Comprehensive Women’s Healthcare at Wayne & Fairlawn, in Paterson, NJ, where he now serves as Director of Clinical Standards.
Dr. Cohen is board-certified by the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. He has been honored with a number of leadership positions, including the Chairman of Credentials Committee at Chilton Memorial hospital, a role which he held for nearly ten years. He also had the honor of being the Principal Speaker at the American Association of Family Practitioners Annual Meeting in 1973. Dr. Cohen is happily married with six daughters.
