Barry I. Feinberg, M.D. received his B.S. degree from State University of New York, Binghamton, and his M.D. degree from State University of New York Downstate in Brooklyn, New York. After an internship in Internal Medicine at Staten Island Hospital, Dr. Feinberg completed a residency in Anesthesiology at University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. He further specialized with a Cardiac Fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania, and later became board certified in Anesthesiology in 1985. While working in pain management, he founded the prototype of Injury Specialists in 1988. Dr. Feinberg has given over 100 lectures on anesthesia and treatment of pain in the injured patient. Dr. Feinberg became board certified in Pain Management in September 1996.

I had an appointment with Dr. Feinberg last week. The medication and muscle relaxer that he prescribed didn't work for me so I called and left messages for him for 3-4 days (on his nurses line and his personal after hours number before I was called back. His nurse relayed to me that he would not change my medication and I should use it for 10 days, eventhough I am in chronic pain everyday and the medication wasn't working at all. I would never see him or his staff ever again.
