Horrible customer service & was no where near professional. Did not complete any testing and was very rude. I could not get a word in since he talked over me. I was only seen for 5 minutes and told to use Head And Shoulders as a body wash. I will be filing a complaint. Do not go to him.

Overall, the visit was okay. The office was so busy (and small) that there weren't enough chairs for everybody. We waited about twenty minutes past our appointment times to be seen. It was, however, very easy to get an appointment with him-we made ours one day in advance. Dr. Kirschenbaum himself was very knowledgeable, as well he should be given that he's been practicing for over 40 years. He's definitely very old-school; he uses a typewriter to take notes and his staff uses a big paper date book for appointments. Overall it was a positive experience.

Was a big skeptical at first because I got an appointment so quickly, but all turned out well. Loved his bedside manner and personality. I felt I was in good hands with this doctor. Also, pleasant office staff -- an indication they like their jobs and boss. Hope my treatment works. :)

RUN!!! Do not walk. Unless you wish to be received by a curt, inattentive, harried front desk staff or by a Doctor who has the charm of a mosquito and an equally annoying, itchy sting. This Dr. is so unconcerned, condescending and has no visible compassion. He interrupted with abrupt, harsh answers to each of my concerns and even took the time to answer a personal phone call, leaving me incredibly stunned at sitting for 4 minutes listening to his wife (? -she said "I love you" when the call ended) speak about her meeting/procedure whatever. Subject yourself to borderline abuse if you wish. This was the 1st and LAST time I will ever be treated like this by a Dr. Retire, sir. Your ennui shows...

CHOSE A DIFFERENT DOCTOR!! Some of the previous reviews left me unsure of this doctor, but he was the only dermatologist with an open appointment before I left for work travel. I now know why he had an open appointment. I came in with three things that I wanted him to look at. When he heard my three concerns he was obviously perturbed and acted like I was wasting his time. After viewing the first item he proclaimed his diagnosis and said "next", not even allowing me to ask any questions. At the end I assumed that we would discuss what he saw and ways forward. Instead he signed me up for a blood test that he said I didn't really need, but was good to have, then rushed out the door while my shirt was still off. Very unprofessional! I'm glad I stopped him and had him write down the diagnosis so that I could research them myself, otherwise I would be totally unaware (and he was obviously annoyed when I had him write it down too). Do not schedule an appointment unless you want the same rushed, arrogant, and impersonal experience! Read other reviews, this is not a one off. Best of luck!!!

I would caution anyone to avoid Dr. Kirschenbaum. His office is hectic and disorganized, which isn't a huge deal if he's a good doc. But seriously, his "examination" was a grand total of 3 minutes. Yes, I checked my watch. Not only did he disregard my primary concern and reason for going there in the first place, he utterly blew me off when I reminded him why I was there. He didn't even actually look at what I was talking about. There are too many good doctors out there to justify sending patients to someone like this. Avoid at all costs.

Good doctor - friendly and knowledgeable. He was able to figure out what my rash was really quickly. Unfortunately, when he gave me the diagnosis, he said it so fast that I didn't catch it. I wish I'd asked him to repeat it for me.

Quick, to the point, the guy knows his stuff and I appreciated his no-nonsense approach. I recommend to folks to think ahead (and write down if you need to) what your questions and concerns are that you're coming to address so that you don't forget to ask. Also, incredibly reasonable rates for those of us paying out of pocket.
