About Dr. InYoung Kim
Dr. InYoung Kim, MD, PhD, FAAD is a board-certified dermatologist and integrative dermatologist who is dedicated to delivering personalized and evidence-based care in medical, aesthetic, and surgical dermatology.
With PhD training in Immunology focusing on the gastrointestinal immune system, she believes that the gut plays an important role in health and disease, including skin health. While she practices in a conventional medical system, she takes a holistic approach and employs various modalities and philosophies based on the individual's need, which may include nutrition, lifestyle modification, supplements, botanicals, integrative medicine, and functional medicine.
In alignment with her vision that medicine should be individualized and integrative, she completed the only formal training program available in integrative dermatology, which allows her to offer a more comprehensive solution to dermatologic needs, both in aesthetics and medical dermatology. As a cosmetic dermatologist, Dr. Kim's philosophy is to enhance natural beauty without the looks of being overdone.
Dr. Kim contributes to advancing the field as Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Integrative Dermatology. This role also allows her to maintain an academic rigor and stay up-to-date on medical literature.
Dr. Kim is also invested in improving skin cancer treatment and has contributed to projects focused on enhancing surgical site identification and margin control as a scholar for the Advancing Innovations in Dermatology.
She spends much of her free time contributing to global medical missions and mentoring students as a leader for the Global Medical Mission Alliance.

I came in due to a past issue I had another doctor resolve. Being that he’s out of state, I had to get another doctor quickly. Her treatment suggestion to me was to completely overhaul my diet because “she knows what works”. She never asked me my eating habits mind you. I came across feeling insulted and when I told her I was in regular pain and needed to do something pre immediate she finally suggested the same medicine I had used in the past. I would never go back to her, she never asked what my diet was, minimized my pain and was frankly unhelpful. I’d find another doctor, there are plenty who are more thorough and thoughtful.

This was my first time seeing this doctor. The reviews of five stars did not disappoint! The receptionists, assistant, and Dr. InYoung Kim were friendly, and thorough. From the time I entered the office I felt I was in good hands. The doctor was efficient—listened to and addressed all of my concerns and health issues and set a plan for treatment.

I went to get a whole body check for skin cancer. I get new skin spots/moles all the time and I need to check they are benign. Dr. Kim was very thorough with her examination, and took out a little spot that looked concerning to her. Very nice bedside manners, I recommend her.

I came in for my annual skin cancer check, and Dr Kim was very nice. However, she focused a lot on issues I told her I wasn’t bothered by (mild dandruff, a bit of dry skin on my face, etc). I would’ve preferred she focus more on the reason I came in (skin cancer check). There was also a 45 min wait to be seen. Other than that she was good.

On my initial visit with Dr. Kim I was impressed with her knowledge and analysis of my facial cancer. I was apprehensive about a biopsy but she made me comfortable and the area of the biopsy is barely visible. She talked to me about my options and did not rush me into a decision. I would recommend her to friends as I have the utmost confidence in her.

Dr. Kim carefully evaluated my face & body for concerning spots that might be cancerous or unhealthy She also asked what I was worried about & my reasons for visit. Together we were able to do our best in treating my sun damaged places - and also make some minor "improvements" to help me become happier w/ me. in my own skin.
