Loved Dr Troyan ... Excellent doctor, I’m 62 + and I have had more than my fair share of doctors and at last I have finally found one that I hope out lives me so I don’t have to find another. He is genuine, caring, great sense of humor, easy to talk to, not rushed and thorough. And the staff is a great compliment to his practice!

Dr. Troyan is board certified in internal medicine. He has been providing comprehensive and personalized primary care to the Memorial and Spring Branch communities since 1998, when he made Houston his home. Dr. Troyan has balanced work in both the hospital and private office settings for several years, keeping active membership in local hospitals to include Memorial Hermann Memorial City Medical Center. As a member of Village Family Practice, Dr. Troyan and his team look forward to spending their energies to give patients the best possible care with an exceptional experience. This is done by meeting the highest standards in primary care.
Dr. Troyan was born in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. He received his undergraduate degree from Washington and Jefferson College in Washington, Pennsylvania. He moved to Mexico to complete his medical doctorate at Universidad Del Noreste in Tampico, Tamaulipas. He received additional medical education at University of Maryland School of Medicine in Cheverly, Maryland.
Dr. Troyan started an internal medicine residency program at Conemaugh Valley Memorial Hospital in Jonestown, Pennsylvania in 1984. He completed his training at Prince George’s Medical Center in Cheverly, Pennsylvania. His professional career began with Coastal Emergency Physicians at Louise Obici Memorial Hospital in Suffolk, Virginia. In 1988, Dr. Troyan entered private practice.
Dr. Troyan encourages his patients to lead active and healthy life styles. His clinical interests include type 2 diabetes, hypertension, women’s health, preventive health, migraine headaches, weight loss, and clinical research. He is fluent in Spanish.
Outside of his practice, Dr. Troyan enjoys bowling, new technology, languages and traveling. He most enjoys spending time with his three sons.

This was my second visit to Dr. Troyan's office for an annual physical. I arrived about 10 minutes early was greeted with a smile by a very pleasant assistant working behind the reception window. In a little under a minute, she had updated my address, phone number and email address as well as made a copy of my new driver's license. She kindly asked me to wait in the waiting room, which was clean and comfortable, prior to taking me back to the exam room. The wait in the waiting room could not have been any more than 3-5 minutes. I was then called by a nurse and had my height and weight recorded on the way to the exam room, The exam room presented immaculately, with an impeccably clean feel, yet still offered a warm, unobtrusive sensation. My blood pressure was taken prior to being asked to fill out a short form of the standard, generalized queries while I waited for the Dr. The form took about 3 minutes to fill out which was the precise amount of time the Dr. took to arrive. Dr. Troyan was very professional, and seemed to show genuine interest and concern with my health status and well being. After about a minute of conversation, he had identified what type of persona to use to make me feel most comfortable, and adjusted his character accordingly while going through the physical exam process. The entire exam took less than 15 minutes to complete, and I was on my way. Payment was quick and simple and a follow up appointment was scheduled at the time of checkout. The entire visit was completed in just over 30 minutes, and I felt was very thorough. Though the time spent with the Dr. was minimal, I felt it was very well managed and the weren't any unnecessary questions that could have been asked by a nurse prior to our interaction.

Sometimes I do get in fairly quick, but It is always well worth the wait. I do not mind waiting. I know it is because the people before me are getting the same quality of care I am in line to receive. I just bring a book or something to work on to pass the time. I think Dr. Troyan is a great doctor. He takes whatever time a patient needs to discuss problems and remedies. Although I may have to wait a while to see him, I now come prepared with a good book to read while waiting.
