Very happy with Dr. Wachs. As a physician myself, I left happy to be his patient. Very clean and modern office space. I’d recommend him to a friend. The front office staff got a little testy, telling me I didn’t have an appointment, but I found out they had some new people and were doing training that day. So, I’ll let that slide. Otherwise, I’m looking forward to my next appointment there. Thanks!

Dr. Wachs is certified by the American Board of Urology and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS).
Dr. Barton Wachs received his medical degree from the University of California at Irvine. His residency training included general surgery, anesthesia, and urology training. His urology residency was completed at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri.
In addition to his private practice, Dr. Wachs also served as the Physician Leader for the Department of Urology at Long Beach Memorial, a Clinical Instructor at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Torrance, and a consulting Neuro-Urologist for Spinal Cord Services at Long Beach Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Wachs is an active member of the Impotence Institute of America, the Society of Reproductive Surgeons, the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons, the Los Angeles Urologic Association, and the Western Section of the American Urological Association.
In his belief of providing patients with the education and support they in order need to deal with their condition Dr. Wachs is involved with many informational support groups. He works with the California Prostate Cancer Coalition, he is a Director of Us Too, Prostate Cancer Support Groups as well as the Long Beach Chapter of Impotence Anonymous. He was the recipient of the Physician Recognition Award presented by the American Medical Association, the Prostate Cancer Educator of the Year award presented by the America Federation of Urologic Diseases and the Humanitarian Award presented by Long Beach Memorial Medical Center. Most recently, Dr. Wachs was named to Who's Who Among Physicians and was rated as a "Top Doctor" in Consumer Publication's 1999 Guide to 15,000 Top Rated Physicians in Metropolitan Areas.

He was great, quick and professional. But he was delayed by a hospital commitment. I wish the staff had kept us patients informed. But actual visit was excellent.

I didn't know drinking too much kombucha could make me sick due to the "good" bacteria. I had stomach, left side pain and blood in urine. Similar to kidney stone symptoms. Googled it and found out I may have given myself an infection with kombucha bacteria.
Went for the appointment and basically Dr. Wachs didn't tell me anything useful. Recommended I get a CT scan the next day which was a Thursday. I'd hope to hear back from him Friday or the following Monday. I called to inquire Wednesday. It's Thursday. A week from my appointment and no call back. WHAT IF IT WAS SERIOUS??? Thanks to mom's home remedy I feel ok. No need to check on me Dr. Thank you.
