Benjamin Tweel is a dedicated and detail-oriented ear, nose, and throat doctor serving the community of New York, NY. Dr. Tweel attended Columbia University, where he received his medical degree, and completed his residency in otolaryngology at Ohio State University Hospital.
Dr. Tweel is a part of Mount Sinai Otolaryngology FPA and is affiliated with the Mount Sinai Hospital in New York. His clinical interests include salivary gland pathology, voice and swallowing, chronic sinusitis, nasal obstruction, hearing, and musicians’ health. He has treated and managed a diverse range of medical dysfunctions and is committed to providing the best comprehensive medical care available. Dr. Tweel’s academic interests include minimally invasive salivary gland surgery as well as clinical outcomes research. He has authored textbook chapters and published manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals on topics including head and neck reconstruction outcomes and salivary gland pathology, and has presented at meetings of the International Federation of Head and Neck Oncologic Societies, the American Academy of Otolaryngology, and the Triological Society.

I went in as I had a Sinus Infection and was prescribed antibiotics by urgent care. I saw symptoms improve but had stubborn residual fluid in my ear and uneven pressure and wanted the opinion of a specialist to see if there was anything to do further or if I just needed to be patient.
Dr Tweel had great bedside manner, patient and took the time to explain things to me, being very thorough in my diagnosis and his explanation of the root cause and possible treatment options. He seemed very knowledgeable and did all necessary examinations to make sure my visit was worthwhile.
The office experience was also good, clean waiting area, friendly and organized reception and the doctor was punctual.
I highly recommend and will return should I need the opinion of an ENT going forward.

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Tweel. I came in a bit apprehensive, dealing with issues like post-nasal drip and hoarseness. Despite my concerns, I felt very heard and listened to. Dr. Tweel addressed every problem thoroughly and sought less invasive solutions before considering more extreme options. He involved a speech therapist, and together, we explored various ways to alleviate my hoarseness without drastic measures. It was one of the best experiences I've had, particularly through Zocdoc. Our conversation was great, and he was incredibly personable. I highly recommend him and don't often give such strong endorsements.
