Hello and welcome! Choosing a psychiatrist can be a daunting process that I hope to make easier for you.
Before opening my own practice, I was the Medical Director of Eating Disorders and the Partial Hospitalization Program at Insight Behavioral Health Centers, a large multi-center clinic based in downtown Chicago. Although I welcome patients of all complexity levels, I am skilled in treating very challenging cases, including patients with significant medical conditions or nutritional deficits. Prior to being a Medical Director, I was fortunate enough to do my psychiatry training (residency) at our local but world-renowned Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
My clinical interests include bipolar disorder, depression, eating disorders, ADHD, addictions, women's health, and all varieties of anxiety disorders (including PTSD & OCD). I often work with young adults but treat older adolescents and middle-aged adults as well.
I believe being a physician is a privilege that comes with a responsibility for lifelong learning. My patients deserve the highest quality of care available, so I make the effort to read medical texts or research publications every day. I pride myself on being warm, respectful, and motivated to improve the quality of life for others. I love being a psychiatrist and believe this shows in my enthusiasm and dedication.
