I am very impressed with Dr. Bharat Desai! e repaired a previous surgery on my ankle which allows me to walk and live my life. He is also the most personable, caring doctor. My most recent visits have been for steroid shots to maintain.

Bharat M. Desai, MD is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon in Denver specializing in musculoskeletal trauma and foot and ankle. He graduated from Swarthmore College and then earned his medical degree from Temple University in 1990.
Having a special interest in orthopedic trauma, he completed a trauma fellowship program at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, Washington. He joined our practice in August 1996.
His current interests are pelvis and acetabular fractures, complex intraarticular fractures and complex foot and ankle disorders. In conjunction with Dr. Lammens, Dr. Desai specializes in malunions, non-unions and traumatic reconstructions.

I went in, filled out my paperwork, had a tech prep me for my visit, and within a short time, saw the Dr. which answered my questions, the tech came back to wrap everything back up. He even came back when I had another question to ask during the wrap-up.

Dr. Desai was professional and courteous in his interaction with me. he explained my injury thoroughly and answered all my questions. The only negative about my experience was the long wait time to:
1) be called back, then
2) to see the doctor and then
3) to be fitted with a shoe.
In total, including the 30 minutes I had been requested to show up before the appointment, I was at the office for over two hours. This seems excessive to me given the total time of actual interaction with doctors or assistants was less than 30 minutes.

I love the front desk staff the are always ready to help and seem happy to do it. They are quick and efficient. The others staff members (nurse assistants etc.)are also just as great always ask if we have a questions or anything before we leave. I have always had a great experience Everytime we have gone. Highly recommend Dr. Desai! I find him extremely personable and takes the time to address any and all concerns I have no matter how much time it takes. My recovery is progressing well thanks to Dr. Desai's protocol and communication as to what I should expect. This was by far the best surgery and recovery I have experienced.

I enjoyed meeting with Dr. Desai, but am not convinced I got a complete answer to my health concerns. He addressed one of my foot issues, but I'm still wondering about another part of my foot that is still causing problems. I regret not asking more questions during my appointment.

Dr. Desai worked on my left ankle probably 13 yrs. ago and it remains to be the strongest part of my body. He is now fixing the other one and I know it will go well. His communication is excellent and his surgical skills are as well.

The visit with Dr. Desai was just fine, he was very polite and professional. However, I arrived at 6:45 am for a 7am appointment. I was not called back until 7:30am and Dr. Desai came in at about 8:10( x-rays in between) and spent about 5-10 min. It was a little discouraging as I purposely scheduled an early in appointment to get to work on time. I assumed I would be the first appointment since they open at 7, not sure why the wait time was so long. An hour and 45 in the office seems a little long.

I went back to Dr Desai as he had treated me for a previous injury and went back to him as I trusted his knowledge and him knowing how to treat the same injury. He performed surgery on my SI joint to help with chronic pain. He has a very good bedside manner and is always willing to listen and answer your questions, if it is something he can't help with he will direct you in the right direction. He has a team of medical assistants and physicians assistants that are also available to ask questions...
