About Dr. Scott Resig
Dr. Resig is board certified through the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Dr. Resig specializes in complex conditions of the lower extremity with a focus in foot and ankle as well as hip and knee joint replacement. Dr. Resig utilizes many of the most advanced technologies available in orthopedics, including robotic knee surgery, anterior minimally invasive hip replacement and ankle replacement.
Dr. Resig pursued his undergraduate degree at the University of Wisconsin, graduating with distinction. He received his medical degree and completed his orthopedic residency at the University of Minnesota Medical School. After completing his residency he pursued fellowship training at the Adidas Sports Medicine Institute and then continued his fellowship training in orthopedic foot & ankle surgery at the University of Auckland, New Zealand.
Because he enjoys competitive sports he is familiar with the frustrations that an injury can cause. Dr. Resig hopes that the use of the newest technological advances in orthopedics can give his patients the best outcomes with a quicker recovery.
When Dr. Resig is not practicing medicine he enjoys Running Marathons, Skiing, Riding his Harley and being outdoors.

Everyone I met with, from the Medical Assistant to Dr. Resig, seemed put out to be helping me. I felt like they were both curt and irritable answering questions about my condition and recommended follow-up care. I wouldn’t return to this provider.

My review is in regards only to the administrative staff, not any of the doctors.
There was apparently an issue with Cobra telling my insurance provider to keep my policy active, so I was not seen. Cobra dropped the ball here, that is not the practice’s fault at all. That said, the gentlemen at check-in was very dismissive and condescending as he ignored me and refused to let me reschedule my appointment. It was a very disappointing and frustrating experience. I hope they read this and improve how they communicate with patients.

I completed forms on ZocDoc and those requested by the providers office only to have to still give my license and insurance card as well as complete the allergies form again. They required masking but did not indicate this in any way during the registration process!
The doctor needs to examine his unconscious biases! I felt he set aside my pain and reason for the visit. I left with very little information I requested about my condition/injury and got very little in response other than to take Advil or have him give me a steroid shot with no or little indication of the result other than that it may give you immediate relief. Such a waste of time and money honestly. He did say I could call if I wanted to and that it should be better in a month. I truly felt dismissed. This is why I avoid certain doctors!

Was a good experience overall, seen quickly by a professional Doc & his Assistant. Was given solid advice on probably not seeking surgery since the injury wasn't a severe hinderance, but the surgery could be a hassle for me. Advised that I use a easy to find, affordable option found online that may be of benefit to me. The only reason I didn't give office visit 5-stars is because they're still "requiring" people to wear masks, which have been credibly disproven of working.

Dr. Resig seemed committed to help me fix my toe, but didn’t provide any treatment instructions while I am waiting for the MRI. He had already left the room and I had to ask whether or not I should be trying to move my toe. I called later to follow up and ask about applying ice, heat or taking ibuprofen. The response was I can do all those things, but no direction on if I should or how often. I feel like he should have given me specific instructions for how to take care of my toe in the meantime.

Waited in the waiting room for 1.5 hours. The front desk didn’t have my appointment despite that I got a confirmation from zocdoc. That being said, Resig was fine. And things moved fast once I finically got seen.

Dr resig is amazing and his nurse Kayla and PA Tara the front office staff I wasnt impressed with as a medical professional they chose to be in the field and could have expressed a little bit more compassion for the patients that they had in front of them. I work front office from time to time and understand the pressure and frustration but at 9am and the first time in the clinic I was not impressed.They chose the field not the other way around

Finding out that one needs hip surgery is rarely a good morning however I appreciated Dr Resig's attention to detail, care and guidance. He discussed the options with me clearly and explained that while a steroid shot now would alleviate the pain it's only a short term solution.

Despite a confirmation from Zocdoc that I had an appointment, the office was unaware. They claimed their system does not communicate with zocdoc. This is not the first time I have had this issue by booking with zocdoc. After adding me to the list to be seen anyway, it took two hours to see a provider. He unnecessarily ordered an X-ray for a soft tissue I jury, which I thought was inappropriate. He had poor bedside manner and barely attempted to answer my questions. He offered a boot for me to wear for my injury, and after waiting another 15 minutes for someone to bring it to me, I walked out of the office. I will not see this provider again (Dr. Resig).

Dr. Resig and his team were great. I interacted with a nurse, x-ray technician, PA and the doctor himself and all were friendly and efficient. I would definitely suggest filling out the paperwork before getting to the office. I did and the check in process was quick and easy. Both Dr. Resig and his assistant performed an exam on my knee and asked about my symptoms. After discussion and review of my x-rays, we decided the next best step would be to get an MRI. I received a call that afternoon from the facility to set up my scan and was able to get in the next morning. The whole process was great and I'm looking forward to setting up my follow appointment to get some answers!
