Went to Dr. Massa for an IUD removal and insertion and it was a great experience. She was friendly and knowledgeable with helping me talk through the procedure and what to expect, as well as set up the follow-up appointments I needed. She also has a very warm, kind bedside manner that made me feel really comfortable during the procedure, especially the more painful / uncomfortable parts. I've found my ob/gyn in SF!

I think this was the best doctors appointment I ever had. After filling out and returning my new patient paperwork, I was taken back right away and Dr Massa showed up about 5 minutes later.
She was personable and chatted with me about random things which immediately put me at ease. She continued chatting with me and answering my questions while performing the exam. This led into some general health questions not related to my appointment. She was so sweet and took the time to answer all my questions and address my concerns. Not for 1 second did I feel like she was rushed to get to the next appointment. I am actually excited to make an appointment with her again in the future.

Dr. Bonni Massa, MD, completed her undergraduate degree in Biology at UC San Diego. She later received her medical degree from Case Western Reserve University and completed her OBGYN residency at the University of Southern California. She was born and raised in Los Angeles and later relocated to San Francisco, where she has been in private practice since 2001. She is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and enjoys all aspects of OBGYN with special interests in preconception counseling, low and high-risk pregnancies, contraceptive options, MonaLisa Touch, and minimally invasive surgery.
Dr. Massa is currently a member of the Obstetrical Collaborative Care Committee and was previously a member of the CPMC Perinatal Quality Committee. She enjoys the relationships she has been privileged to share with her patients and always strives to make her patients feel at ease and provide the best quality and personalized care possible.
Dr. Massa’s interests outside of medicine, include international travel, outdoor activities, and spending time with her husband, son and wheaten terrier.
Because of the current COVID-19 as well as Shelter in Place requirements, we are offering telemedicine for consultations or appointments that may be done via a videoconference call. Please call to inquire.
For the health ouf our patients and our staff, we have a NO VISITOR policy in place. This includes children, so we kindly ask patients to come alone to decrease the spread of COVID-19.
