Dr. Brad P. Novey is a board certified comprehensive ophthalmologist who provides medical and surgical eye care to patients of all ages with a special interest in cataract and refractive surgery. Dr. Novey earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Brandeis University. He received his medical degree from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Dr. Novey completed his internship at The Reading Hospital and Medical Center in Reading, PA. He then served as a resident in the Department of Ophthalmology at Washington Hospital Center/Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC. In 2006, Dr. Novey entered private practice as a comprehensive ophthalmologist in southern New Hampshire. He was a member of the New England Ophthalmological Society, where he served as a member of the Ophthalmic Services Committee. Dr. Novey joined Chapel Hill Ophthalmology in September 2012. He resides in Chapel Hill with his wife and two children.

Dr. Novey, has a great bedside manner. It did not bother him in the least that my daughter, who is autisitc, asked a million questions. He explained everything in a way that she could understand.
