Ellen Kate Adamo, CNM, MSN, RN, a graduate from Frontier Nursing University, has birth center and home birth experience working as a Certified Nurse Midwife along with over 25 years of a background in nursing. Ellen has a personal interest in herbs, organic gardening, guitar, and mountain lore.
Kwajalein (Kay) Cleveland, CNM, MSN, RN brings over 14 years of nursing experience to See Baby Midwifery. The office ran more efficiently than any practice I've ever been in. The ultrasound room felt more like a spa than a medical facility with calming classical music, under table lighting, a large comfortable couch for guests and three big screen televisions. The tech was as warm as the ultrasound gel and even the washcloth to wipe off the excess after we were done. How lovely!
My meeting with Dr. Bootstaylor afterward was as wonderful as I'd been told to expect. He really took the time to listen to my concerns, offer viable solutions and really focus on my state of mind as a pregnant mother. He was extremely knowledgable about the latest research on genetic issues that could effect my pregnancy and knew exactly what tests to order to make sure we were proceeding in the safest way possible. My prior practice and perinatologist had no clue how to best work around the issue and were somewhat dismissive. The good doctor also focused on my state of mind and the importance of chiropractic care, yoga or whatever it was that helped me best maintain a zen state through my pregnancy.

My husband and I always have a warm, welcoming, and positive experience with the midwives and Dr. Bootstaylor. The ladies at the front desk are so kind and welcoming. I feel very taken care of. Dr. Bootstaylor always takes the time to talk with us after each ultrasound, which puts first time parents like us at ease. My only concern is getting different information from different midwives. For example, I discussed water birth at my fourth appointment with Martha and she said it was a great option for me. At my next appointment a different midwife said it probably wouldn't happen due to my BMI. I worry about the midwives (who I really do love) being on the same page when it comes to policy and procedures. This can be confusing and worrysome for parents.

Both times i have been in, very unimpressed with reception staff, along with office billing procedure and policy. These things dont seem to fit with the image of the practice or Dr. B. But once you ger past front, the sono techs and Dr. B are tremendous. Caring, take their time, interactive, and a great experience.

Dr. Bootstaylor is a phenomenal physician. He takes his time to get to know his patients, educate them on various options, and is extremely supportive of mothers' choices during the pregnancy and birth. He is an open advocate of home births, and after working with him during 2 pregnancies, I am hopeful that our nation's healthcare may one day take a turn for the better using models such as his. I would highly recommend this doctor and his caring, respectful staff.

Dr Bootstaylor has a remarkable philosophy and staff to support births, moms, and babies - that are free of operating on the doctors or hospitals time. Dr Bootstaylor takes time to sit with each patient, listen, and I never feel rushed or judged. Every person on the staff operates exactly the same way. He is extremely well respected in his field and had fought tirelessly to make bold changes in hospitals and the birth field. I am so grateful to have been recommended to see him. Our visit was great. We came in for our 20 week ultrasound to make sure our baby was developing properly. Dr. BootsTaylor was very respectful and professional. Our birth plan is to have a home birth and he is very accepting and kind about it. He reassured us that his interventions would be limited from this point on and that we would only see him again if we needed a transfer during birth. He is willing to stick to our birth plan and help give me the birth I want. He's a very respectful doctor and I've never felt any pressure do things I don't agree too. We have had an amazing few visits with him, and I wish all OBs had his mindset!

This is our fourth baby and he was totally a surprise! I am over 40 and was feeling extremely overwhelmed when we found out that we were expecting. After the first consultation with Dr.Boots-Taylor my heart was totally put to rest! His knowledge, professionalism and attention to our every detail made me teary eyed! I did not feel like a number but more like family. We are grateful that we have input concerning the delivery. His staff is amazing and makes a point to know every one by name. Dr. Bootstaylor is the best. I am using his Midwifery practice for my birth, but this particular appt was for my anatomy scan. Before my husband had even parked the car and walked in, they were ready for us in the room. We were able to spend a great deal of time looking over every bit of our daughter, who is in perfect shape (to avoid anyone wondering if the time was spent on an area of concern - they were just that thorough). Then, Dr. B himself went over the results with us as well and answered any questions. We never felt rushed. It was a wonderful visit, and our images were emailed to us before the end of business that day.

At my CNM's recommendation, we drove the hour from Athens to Atlanta to have my 20-week ultrasound with Dr. Bootstaylor and his team, and I am so glad we did! Both Morika, our ultrasound technician and Dr. Bootstaylor were very thorough and communicative. She was so enthusiastic, and he was so soothing. There is such a good vibe in this office! So glad that there is a supportive home birth back-up OB/GYN in the Atlanta area.
