About Dr. Eugenio Aspuru

When I was a medical student at Louisiana State University fulfilling my rotation in Ob-Gyn, I was up late one night when the supervising resident let me deliver my first baby. That first delivery was such a rush of excitement and felt like a little miracle unfolding in my arms. At that moment, I knew I wanted to deliver babies for the rest of my life. I completed my Doctor of Medicine at Louisiana State University and went on to complete my residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Louisiana State University Health Science Center. I have two sisters with whom I am very close, and I have always treated my patients as I would want my sisters to be treated. Now that I have a daughter and have witnessed her birth, I treat my patients as I would want her treated when she becomes a woman. Being a good doctor doesn’t just involve finding a medically sound resolution to your medical problem. It involves really listening to you and understanding your concerns and fears.
