Originally from Hilo, Hawaii, he received his undergraduate degree in Sports Medicine at the University of Hawaii in 2016 while also serving as a Combat Medic in the Army Reserves before attending PA school. Upon graduation, he started working at Columbia University Medical Center's Neurologic ICU at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. After working there for 2 years, he realized that his passion for treating patients was better served in the outpatient setting, treating patients' chronic pain.
