Areas of trauma related interests include fractures of the pelvis and acetabulum, articular and periarticular fractures, non-union, malunion, deformity, bone loss, infection and limb length discrepancy. Additional areas of professional interest include adult arthritis and reconstructive surgery and joint preserving surgery of the hip. Specifically, this includes primary and revision joint replacement, hip dysplasia, femoral/acetabular hip impingement and arthroscopic surgery of the hip. Dr. Bolhofner received his Doctorate of Medicine degree and served his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery from the University of South Florida College of Medicine in Tampa, FL.
He is fellowship trained in Orthopaedic Trauma from the Association for the Study of Internal Fixation in Bern, Switzerland.
Dr. Bolhofner has remained dedicated to the orthopaedic surgical care of the severely injured throughout his career and continues to serve as the Director of Orthopaedic Trauma Services at Bayfront Medical Center.
