Dr. Brian D. Barnett was raised in the Northeast. For his undergraduate schooling, he attended New York University, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree with honors in psychology. Subsequently, he received his medical degree from New Jersey Medical School. Thereafter, Dr. Barnett completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at The University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS) in Baltimore. After residency, Dr. Barnett completed a three-year fellowship at Duke University Medical Center in the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, often considered to be one the premier infertility training programs in the world.
Dr. Barnett has been in private practice in Collin County since 1997. Having performed over 2,500 egg retrievals and over 2,300 operative laparoscopies and hysteroscopies in his career, Dr. Barnett is commonly recognized as one of the most experienced and skilled infertility physicians in the Southwest United States. Dr. Barnett has received multiple accolades over the years, including multiple listings in D Magazine Best Doctors in Dallas, D Magazine Best Doctors in Collin County, as a Texas Monthly Super Doctor, and as one of the nation’s leading Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility subspecialists in U.S, News and World Report.
Board Certified in both Obstetrics and Gynecology and in the subspecialty of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, Dr. Barnett takes great pride in the individualized approach he has to patient management and the extremely high pregnancy rates he has achieved over the years.
